GETTING REVIEWS: IMPORTANT BUT NOT SO EASY

    Consideration #1

  •  You can get your friends to go on Amazon and writer a review. It’s important to note that Amazon is very picky about accepting reviews. Your friends will have to buy the book.

  • If you pay a professional to write a review on Amazon, Amazon will not always accept the statement from the reviewer that they received the book from the author for the purpose of writing a review.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Consideration #2

  • Expense – Reviews by the big name reviewers like Kirkus can cost $5oo.00 per book. You cannot guarantee the review will be a good one, but you can excerpt the good parts and review them.

  • What about free? If you find one that works for you, let me know.

  • Consider looking for blogs that will post your book with a review.

  • Look for services that have a platform that will not only put you on their website, but share on their own social media sites.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Consideration #3

  • Podcasts, interviews, trailers, contests you win or get honorable mention, and articles in your local newspapers are vehicles where you can present your best reviews. Some of my previous blogs feature platforms like The Authors Show. Take a look at the promo I got from winning a contest. Stay tuned for more sources.
